If you’re looking for the best movie affiliate programs to promote, then you’re probably starting a movie-related blog or website or you’re just looking to add more earning opportunities to your current site.
We all love movies. Streaming platforms like Netflix and Max help to bring those movies closer to us without having to leave home.
Cutting the cord has also been a huge trend since people realize there were cheaper alternatives to cable. Running a movie website or blog allows you to help this growing audience to get what they want.
In this blog post, I’m going to share 12 of the best movie affiliate programs you can use to earn money from your passion-fueled writings on your blog. I’m positive that you’ll find something here that you probably haven’t thought of promoting as yet.
1. Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video is Amazon’s streaming platform where Prime members can watch thousands of episodes of their favorite shows and movies.
Users can also subscribe to premium channels like Max, Showtime, Paramount Plus, and Starz, all with a 7-day free trial to start. They can also rent movies in digital format or buy movies in both digital or physical media.
This makes Amazon Prime Video a great offer for affiliates who are creating content in the movie niche. Amazon gives you bounties (lead commissions) for each customer who registers for a Prime Video free trial membership or for customers who takes a 7-day free trial of over 100+ premium channels. You can earn between $2-$3 per free signup.
Additionally, you can receive commissions for sales of digital movies or DVDs and more. Plus, if your referred visitor decides to shop on Amazon during the 24 hour referral period, you’ll get credit for all those sales as well.
Only downsides with Amazon Associates are that the commissions are tiny and the cookie length is only 24 hours so you’ll have to rely on volume and immediate conversions to really make a significant amount of money with Amazon alone. Add other affiliate offers where necessary and you can definitely rely on Amazon Prime video to monetize your movie-related content.
2. Paramount Plus
Paramount Plus is a rebrand of what used to be CBS All Access. They’ve since evolved to include, Showtime, another streaming service also owned by Paramount.
Paramount+ offers everything from CBS including sports, breaking news and live TV. They also include other networks like Nickelodeon, MTV, and Comedy Central.
You’ll find TV shows and award winning series plus the latest movies from Paramount’s library. Affiliates can take advantage of this wide selection of entertainment and refer customers who want to view the content.
To get started as an affiliate of Paramount+, you have two options, Impact Radius or Flexoffers. The commission rate is $9 per sale which is great considering Paramount’s pricing starts at $5.99/month. Cookie length is 10 days which isn’t too bad in a low-ticket market.
Hulu is another very popular streaming service that is partly owned by Disney. They carry a lot of TV series and movies, licensed from various studios, as well as their own original productions.
The streaming service also has live TV in one of their more expensive packages and there are also bundles that give you ESPN and Disney+.
Affiliates can sign up with Flexoffers to promote Hulu where they’ll receive $1.60 for every free trial sign up and $9.60 for any qualifying sales. There is a very decent 14 day cookie period so that you can have enough time to get credit for your referrals.
Hulu has a lot of creatives on Flexoffers including banners for individual shows and promotions, and also datafeeds for affiliates that use feeds.
4. Sling TV
When it comes to live TV streaming, Sling TV offers a low cost alternative to others like Hulu + Live TV and YouTubeTV.
Sling TV has low cost plans for consumers to watch live sports, news and they can add packages and premium channels to make the service their own.
Owned by Dish Network, Sling TV is a great option to offer to readers who want live TV and who want to “cut the cord”. Affiliates can sign up with Impact or Flexoffers to promote.
On Impact, affiliates get from $3 – $35 depending on the sale. The program on Flexoffers only rewards up to $16 per sale. Cookie length is 30 days which is decent for this type of offer.
Note that this offer is geo-restricted and even affiliates outside of the United States and Puerto Rico cannot access the website. If you live in the United States then you should have no problem promoting Sling TV. Outside the US, you’ll need a good VPN at least, but it’s possible that your affiliate application may get rejected. There’s no harm in trying though.
5. Fubo TV
Fubo is another great option for live TV and on demand streaming. This service, however, is focused more on streaming live sports.
There are over 350 channels so if your audience loves movies and sports, Fubo is perfect for them.
Fubo offers features like Cloud DVR and is available in the United States, Canada and Spain. Affiliates can get access to promote Fubo through the Impact affiliate network. Commissions range from $10 per sale to $30 depending on the sale.
Affiliate cookie last for 30 days which allows you to get the sale long after you make the referral.
With hit movies like John Wick Chapter 4, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and classics like Snakes on a Plane, Starz is another great streaming offer that people need.
Perhaps though, they need it for the Starz originals like Power, BMF and Outlander, which can’t be seen anywhere else.
Affiliates can make money recommending Starz to their readers and website visitors. The affiliate program is on both CJ Affiliate and Flexoffers, and there are a few differences.
On CJ Affiliate, Starz pays $15 per sale and on Flexoffers, affiliates get paid $12 for every valid sale. Cookie length is 30 days on either network and there are lots of eye-catching creatives available for affiliates to use.
Showtime is another big name premium network that has movies and original TV shows. They used to have their own affiliate program but things have changed.
Showtime is not part of Paramount Plus, their parent company’s streaming website. Even if you go to the Showtime website or app, you’ll see notices saying that you have to get “Paramount Plus with Showtime”.
So if your audience loves great Showtime programming like The Chi, Dexter or Yellowjackets, they’ll have to get Paramount Plus with Showtime to enjoy those series.
To promote Showtime, you’ll need to sign up for the Paramount Plus affiliate program which I mentioned before on this page (it’s at #2). The Paramount Plus affiliate program can be found on both Impact and Flexoffer networks if you’re a member of any of those.
8. Peacock TV
Peacock TV is an over-the-air subscription streaming service from NBCUniversal. They offer programming from NBCUniversal studios which includes shows and movies.
The streamer also airs third-party content including sports, series, movies and news. They had exclusive rights to air the 2022 FIFA World Cup which accounted for an increase in signups.
Their affiliate program is offered through Flexoffers and Impact. Commission is $4 when your visitors purchase a Premium Start account within the 30 days cookie period.
Affiliates can benefit from the buzz around new films in theaters such as Five Nights at Freddy’s which was simultaneously released on Peacock and The Exorcist: Believer which now streams exclusively on the streamer.
Roku makes it possible for many to enjoy movies and TV shows even if they don’t have a smart TV.
With streaming boxes, Roku TVs, and other accessories, visitors can shop on the Roku website for a lot of entertainment needs.
The Roku Store has an affiliate program that pays 5% for all sales on their website. Affiliates can sign up at CJ Affiliate and you’ll be able to download a list of commissionable items. Cookies last for 30 days so that you can get credit for your efforts.
10. Netflix Merch Shop
Netflix is the most popular movie streaming website on the planet. The service delivers lots of popular shows and movies on a regular basis to satisfy the viewing pleasures of its 247 million subscribers.
Unfortunately, Netflix does not have an affiliate program. When everyone knows your name, you probably don’t need one.
But they do have an official Netflix Merch Shop that does have an affiliate program. So if you talk about Netflix shows on your website or blog, you can take advantage of the buzz around certain shows and movies and earn commissions from merchandise.
The Netflix shop carries merch representing popular shows like Stranger Things, One Piece, Big Mouth and Bridgerton. Apparel, plush toys, posters, and collectibles are some of the categories people can shop.
The Netflix Merch Shop affiliate program is available on Flexoffers giving 6% commissions to affiliates who successfully refer sales. Cookie length is only 7 days but this is still more than Amazon gives you.
There are a lot of streaming channels out there and a lot of ways to make money if you talk about movies on your website or blog.
Some big names didn’t get mentioned here, most notably Max (formerly HBO Max). They either don’t have an affiliate program or they don’t have a great one that’s worth including in this “best of” list. For example, Max was on Flexoffers but deactivated their program. They then temporarily reactivated it during the Black Friday period before deactivating it again.
If you want to find more movie affiliate programs, you can do a number of things:
- Find the website of the streamer and look for the affiliate link program in the footer. Many of them don’t have such link but you’d be lucky to find one.
- Search on Google for “movie + affiliate programs”. That’s probably how you found this post.
- Search affiliate networks that you belong to. You’ll find them in the entertainment category.
You can also use Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program search.
You’ll find this tool under the “Promote” menu tab. Just enter your category and keyword you want to search and you’ll be able to instantly see a bunch of relevant affiliate programs from a number of different networks.
Commission rates, payout options, reviews from other affiliates and ratings are some of the other info you’ll find to guide your decision on joining particular programs.
