Over the past week, I’ve been exposing some websites for the scams that they are.
These websites lure people in with the promise of easy money – promising to pay up to $50 for simple surveys and $15 for each friend you refer.
The problem is that people are signing up to these sites, the latest of which include Cash Junky and Royalty Bucks but they aren’t getting paid the hundreds and thousands of fast money they’re making doing simple tasks.
All of these websites operate the exact same way and may even be owned by the same person or group of people.
One website that I found while researching Royalty Bucks is Students Earn Cash which somehow was linked through their Terms of Use page. This makes me believe that they’re set up by the same person.
Students Earn Cash Is a Scam
I’m not going to write a long review about Students Earn Cash because I’ve written two reviews that will point out the same red flags that are present on this website.
I’ll however summarize the main points here or you can visit either my Cash Junky Review or my Royalty Bucks Review to see how Students Earn Cash operates and why they won’t pay.
Students Earn Cash, just like the others, is a scam because they encourage you to sign up, gives you incentives to perform the simple tasks on their site and when you try to cash out, they never pay.
But you can smell a rat from afar, especially if you do your research before joining. There are a number of red flags present to help you see the truth even before you sign up.
Here’s a run down of some of them and you will find more detailed explanation if you go through the other two reviews I mentioned.
There are just too many red flags to get caught up in a scam like this. However, most users won’t know what to look for or are too caught up in the excitement of making hundreds of dollars really fast.
Pros
Cons
Will Students Earn Cash Pay You?
Sadly, Students Earn Cash targets a demographic who needs money to pay for school fees, subjects, housing while learning, and basic everyday needs.
Students look for part time jobs while learning if they don’t have a scholarship and money can be tight so a promise of earning hundreds of dollars just doing simple surveys and tasks online can be very tempting.
Unfortunately, websites like Students Earn Cash take advantage of student’s needs and dash their hopes by lying to them and not paying out.
There are endless accounts online of people not being paid by programs like Cashcrates, Cash Junky, Royalty Cash, Kash Tree, Survey Junkies and endless iterations of this scam site.
One of the biggest red flags that prove you won’t get paid is hidden in the Terms of Use. You check a box when you sign up to say you agree to the Terms of Use before submitting but most people never read this long boring document.
Hidden in the text though is one line which states that you must be 99 years of age or over to use the site. I don’t know any students who are 99 years old or older.
This line is to protect the scammers from liability. They can always claim that you violated the terms by using their website. This is one of the biggest warnings that they were not going to pay anyone.
What’s the Alternative?
If you want to make money online as a student, there are a lot of legit options from:
- Freelance writing
- Dropshipping
- Blogging
- YouTube
- Social media influencer
- Local marketing
- Fiverr gigs
- Online surveys
- Sell a product on Etsy
- eCommerce
My favorite one though is affiliate marketing which ironically is how the scammers are making their money from all the people who pack the members area of their network of sites.
However, their unethical approach to affiliate marketing is not recommended nor is it how I do this lucrative business.
It’s easy to get started with affiliate marketing. You don’t need products of your own, nor any special skills. It is a process that can easily be learned.
You make money by partnering with a company that sells a product people want. They’ll give you a link and you’ll promote it to the people you can reach. I do this by writing reviews and comparisons on this website and others that I own.
When done right, affiliate marketing is a business that helps people get what they want so you’re adding value to other people’s lives. The company you work with split the product sales with you at an agreed commission rate and pay you at the end of an agreed upon period whether it’s weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
To find out more about affiliate marketing and how you can get started, I recommend joining this training website where you can also find all the tools you need to run your affiliate marketing business.
I’m a member there also and can help you when you have any questions.
Final Words
Students Earn Cash is a scam which you’ll see from the things I’ve pointed out. They will not pay you or anyone who signs up to their website.
It’s best to avoid this site before doing the tasks and wasting your time so hopefully you’re reading this before joining.
There are other legit ways to make money online but they do require a lot of effort if you want substantial payouts.
If you have any experience at all with Students Earn Cash, hit the comments section below and tell others what happened. It will help to reinforce what I’ve written here and help others avoid or come to terms with what is happening with these scam sites.
