What’s Wealthy Affiliate?

New wealthy affiliate website

Wealthy Affiliate is an all-inclusive learning community for affiliate marketers and anyone who wants to learn about making money online.

The platform has existed for over 17 years, continually evolving and providing the latest tools and training relevant to the online business landscape.

I joined Wealthy Affiliate about 16 months after it was created and I’ve seen many similar membership websites come and go as this platform evolved and grew.

Wealthy Affiliate was created by two Canadian college buddies, Kyle Loudon and Carson Lim, who are still very much active within the community to this day, delivering timely updates and training, and support.

For affiliate marketers and persons who want to learn how to make money online, Wealthy Affiliate provides training, tools, community, and support all in one place for a reasonable membership fee. You can join for free and remain a free member for as long as you wish but most of the benefits come from joining one of the paid tiers available.

I’ll review some of these features below so you can know what’s provided at Wealthy Affiliate to help you learn how to run an online business.

Who Is Wealthy Affiliate For?

Wealthy Affiliate is for anyone who wants to learn how to earn an income doing online business specifically with affiliate marketing.

The learning community appeals to a broad audience in a number of different situations. For example:

  • people with jobs looking to supplement their income
  • college-aged kids who want to earn extra money
  • people involved in MLM who want to build their downline and promote their products
  • stay-at-home moms looking for at-home work to do
  • small business owners who wish to bring their brick-and-mortar businesses online
  • struggling affiliate marketers who want to learn how to increase their online income
  • and many more.

Not everyone who joins Wealthy Affiliate finds the idea of creating content and using SEO to grow their businesses particularly appealing. For this reason, not everyone finds success at Wealthy Affiliate because many of these fail to follow the training and end up quitting.

If you want to learn how to earn an income online using affiliate marketing then Wealthy Affiliate is definitely the place to be. The training, the learning community, and the various tools and resources available were all provided to help affiliate marketers succeed.

Beginners in particular are the group that can benefit the most from the training and resources provided at Wealthy Affiliate. The site provides immense value but the subscription fees remain moderately priced so allowing access to many who cannot afford the prices of alternative affiliate marketing training courses and memberships.

6 Essential Wealthy Affiliate Features

Wealthy Affiliate is an all-in-one platform where students can not only learn, but also access tools and resources to implement everything they learn about online business.

Where possible, the founders have tried to provide the tools necessary for running an online business in one place so members are not distracted by external offerings. For example, there is no need to go looking for web hosting when it is provided at Wealthy Affiliate along with a website builder and even domain names.

You can definitely seek out alternatives for these tools or even the training but the fact remains that they’re provided with your membership so why not use them?

In this section, I’m going to review some of the core features of Wealthy Affiliate, why they exist, and my likes and dislikes of each.

1. Wealthy Affiliate Training

Wealthy Affiliate expert classes

The core product of Wealthy Affiliate is its training. Wealthy Affiliate has a lot of different training including courses, live classes, and supplementary training.

If you want to learn how to build an online business specifically with affiliate marketing, then Wealthy Affiliate provides this type of training. The good thing is that many other facets of online business use the same techniques to get traffic and promote whatever they’re selling.

Courses

The main training is called the Online Entrepreneur Certification course and it consists of 5 courses with 50 lessons. This course introduces you to online business and covers everything from finding a topical niche and doing research to building a website and mastering promotional concepts like social engagement and pay-per-click marketing.

The 5 courses are progressive, from beginner training in the first course to more advanced stuff in the latter.

Here’s a look at how they’re laid out:

  • Level 1: Getting Started (5 lessons) – introduction to online business
  • Level 2: Building Your Own Traffic-Producing Website (15 lessons)
  • Level 3: Making Money (10 lessons)
  • Level 4: Mastering Social Engagement (10 lessons)
  • Level 5: Achieving Maximum Success Through Content Creation (10 lessons)

The Level 1 course is available to persons on the free membership (Starter) and the other 4 levels are available to Premium members.

Each lesson in the courses has elements other than just the lesson content and they were designed to help members understand and apply the training.

Wealthy Affiliate lessons

The practical nature of the course allows the business that you’re building to progress as you apply the tasks from each lesson. You can also comment on each lesson and receive support from Kyle or the community.

One of the biggest complaints about the courses is that they’re outdated. While this may be true of some information in a few lessons (there’s a lesson on the now defunct Google Plus still available in the Level 4 training and none on Instagram), the overall concepts are evergreen and rarely get dated.

There is also a button at the top of each lesson where you can request an update and the social nature of the platform makes it easy to clarify and correct dated information.

With that concern aside, I found the training to be well outlined and can take anyone who is new to the concepts of online business through the process effectively. Pair this with the other available training on the platform and you’ll be well-rounded and informed.

Live Training (Webinars)

Wealthy Affiliate expert classes

Some of the best training that you will get at Wealthy Affiliate is from the live classes. These are also known as Expert Classes and are in the form of 1 hour live webinars.

These live classes aren’t available to free (Starter) members. Premium members get 1 live class per week, every Friday night taught by ‘magistudios’, a Wealthy Affiliate member who works closely with Kyle and Carson.

Premium Plus members get a live class almost every day taught by an expert on the topic. The live classes usually cover one specific topic and are packed with content, a Q&A at the end, and no promos.

Your monthly membership cost is easily justified by the amount of value you get from the four live classes you get every month. The live classes are great supplementary training for the courses.

For topics not covered or not thoroughly explored in the Online Entrepreneur Certification courses, you will find live classes or even an Expert series on those topics. This was everything is covered in the training. Members can find replays for past live classes by doing a search in the training repository.

Additional Training

Besides the core training courses and the live classes, Wealthy Affiliate has a number of other training.

One of the major training available is the Affiliate Bootcamp. This training is made up of 7 courses with 70 lessons and is made for members who want to make money promoting Wealthy Affiliate or other products in the “make money online” niche.

Following this course has proven very profitable for many because it works but some of the more aggressive methods taught have often been criticized by people outside of Wealthy Affiliate.

This training is totally optional and members are not required to take this course to make money with Wealthy Affiliate.

Other trainings at Wealthy Affiliate come in the form of tutorials created by regular members who want to share how to do something related to online business. Members can earn credits, a sort of Wealthy Affiliate currency, by creating training.

2. Site Rubix Website Builder

Wealthy Affiliate website builder Site Rubix

To follow the training at Wealthy Affiliate, you’ll need to have access to website hosting and a website builder like WordPress.

Fortunately, Wealthy Affiliate provides these resources so that you wouldn’t have to pay huge annual fees for web hosting that may not even be worth it. Your monthly membership fee gets you access to a lot of things you’d otherwise have to pay for outside of Wealthy Affiliate.

The website builder, Site Rubix, lets you install a WordPress website with a few clicks. You’ll be set up and ready to go within minutes. Here’s what the setup process looks like:

  1. Choose to set up your website on a free domain or your own domain. Or purchase a domain right inside Wealthy Affiliate to get started.
  2. Name your website
  3. Choose a theme from thousands of free designs
  4. Generate the website (you’ll just need to add the content after)

The difference between having just a regular WordPress website and having a WordPress website through Site Rubix becomes clear at this point.

There is a host of features now available from your Site Rubix dashboard that you wouldn’t get from other WordPress web hosting companies. These features were tailored for affiliate marketers.

  • Site Manager – allows you to manage your websites by logging in from WA, seeing new comments, and other info about your website.
  • Site Plus – lets you boost your website speed and manage caching, set your HTTPS, and enable spam blocker with Site Protect.
  • Site Domains – you can purchase, renew and manage your domains without leaving the platform.
  • Site Feedback – Get community feedback for your growing website or give feedback to earn credits.
  • Site Comments – leverage the community to get comments on your website articles and posts. Offer comments to earn credits.
  • Site Content – you can make writing goals, write your content, and track your writing stats all in one place.
  • Site Support – get quick support for any technical website problem you encounter with your websites.

I personally love Site Support because you get problems fixed in under 5 minutes a lot of the time which is something you wouldn’t get with most web hosts.

While Site Content might seem valuable for someone who identifies as a writer, I pretty much rather use the WordPress editor to write my content so I could use blocks and format my content the way I want it.

All these Site Rubix features enhance your WordPress website and make it easier for you as an affiliate marketer to build and grow your website.

3. Wealthy Affiliate Community

One of the best reasons to learn how to do affiliate marketing on Wealthy Affiliate is the community.

The community is the reason why Wealthy Affiliate has thrived for more than 15 years while other membership sites that aimed to teach the same thing have failed. Wealthy Affiliate’s community is vibrant and tight-knit even though there are thousands of members who are active.

When you join Wealthy Affiliate, you get a rich profile where you can add your photo and bio, and connect with other members within the community.

My Wealthy Affiliate Profile
(click on the photo to visit my Wealthy Affiliate profile)

Your profile also has some features that allow you to be social and get more value from your membership.

  • Blog – every member has their own blog where they can share their thoughts in a post with their network. Members can comment and share your blogs. Popular blogs can end up being shown in the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard in a top 10 list.
  • Profile comments – Members can openly comment on your profile if they want to share something with you like a welcome message or ask a question.
  • Private message – Or they can send a private message if they prefer. Private messaging is only available to Premium and Premium+ members.
  • Website & socials – you can add your website and social network links to your profile so others can find you outside of Wealthy Affiliate.
  • Goals – You can publicly share your goals in a dedicated section of our profile.

Besides your profile and blog, Wealthy Affiliate has other features that help to connect the community and enable social learning. These features also make it fun for members.

The live chat feature allows anyone in the community to ask questions or provide help to community members who may need it. The chat is always busy at any time of the day since Wealthy Affiliate has members in every time zone.

You can also ask a question or create a discussion easily from your dashboard. These are displayed on the homepage of Wealthy Affiliate so other members can offer help.

Wealthy Affiliate questions

This is a great way to get support from the Wealthy Affiliate community and is one of the best ways to quickly get a grasp of the training.

Finally, the community has gamification which can help with engagement and activity. Wealthy Affiliate’s community is very active and members are getting badges and rankings for creating posts, helping others, and their overall activity within the community.

Ambassadors are the most active users in the community and this award goes to the top 25 ranked users at Wealthy Affiliate. You can see your rankings and activity on your dashboard at any time.

Many businesses are now turning to community to grow their businesses but Wealthy Affiliate has been doing this the right way for a long time. They continue to add features and make the platform fun and educational for everyone who joins.

4. Web Hosting

When you’re just starting to learn how to make money online, web hosting doesn’t need to be something else you have to spend money on. At Wealthy Affiliate, it is included in your membership.

Including web hosting has probably helped more members take action on what they learn in the course instead of kicking the tires because they didn’t want to go choose a web host externally.

So how does Wealthy Affiliate hosting compare to other web hosts?

Wealthy Affiliate hosting is managed WordPress hosting and has some great features that are better than some of the top web hosts online.

With Wealthy Affiliate managed WordPress hosting, premium members get:

  • Instant DNS Setup
  • Amazon AWS c3.large hosting speeds
  • 30 GB website space
  • 250,000 monthly visits (bandwidth)
  • Unlimited data transfer
  • Site Rubix website builder
  • Staging environment
  • Full redundancy
  • Daily website backups
  • Enterprise level security
  • 24/7 Access to server admins
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Botnet security
  • Free SSL

I have websites hosted at both Wealthy Affiliate hosting and WPX hosting which I would recommend as the best WordPress host outside of Wealthy Affiliate.

Some of the things I appreciate Wealthy Affiliate hosting for are:

  • Botnet security – you’re basically protected from bots hitting your website because they’re blocked at the server level. On a lot of web hosts, you will get daily spam and bot traffic which can be frustrating and dangerous to your website.
  • 24/7 Access to server admins – known as Site Support in your dashboard, you can normally get a response and sometimes the problem is fixed in under 5 minutes. This is rare with other hosts since you can typically spend more than 5 minutes just waiting for a live chat agent.
  • Daily website backups – I can’t remember if I’ve ever had to request a backup but when I was moving a couple of websites to WPX hosting, they had the latest version of my website ready. You can usually check when your website was last backed up in your website manager.
  • Full redundancy – If your website goes down for any reason, a copy is readily available to automatically serve visitors so you’re always online with minimal to no downtime.

The other thing worth mentioning about Wealthy Affiliate hosting is the number of websites you’re allowed to host which depends on your membership level.

For free (Starter) members, you get 1 website which is hosted on a “.siterubix.com” subdomain. Premium members get 3 websites hosted on your own domain and Premium Plus members get 10.

5. Jaaxy Research Tool

Proper keyword research is the foundation of any internet business, affiliate marketing included. For this, Wealthy Affiliate has its research tool called Jaaxy.

All users get access to Jaaxy regardless of their membership level. Free users get access to Jaaxy Starter, Premium users get Jaaxy Lite, and Premium Plus get the unlimited version, Jaaxy Enterprise.

jaaxy results

Jaaxy helps members find high traffic and low competition keywords that they can use in their marketing campaigns. But the tool does more than just keyword research. You can also use it to find related affiliate programs and track your position in the search engine results page for your keywords.

There are many cool features of Jaaxy that makes it a worthwhile choice for affiliate marketers taking the Wealthy Affiliate training.

  • QSR – quoted search results show your exact competition for your keyword of interest.
  • Alphabet Soup – You can find related keywords manually by using Google’s autocomplete while typing a keyword in the search box. This is the concept behind the alphabet soup method and Jaaxy will find those keywords for you.
  • Saved lists – you can go back to your research history by saving list of keywords for later use.
  • Affiliate programs – Jaaxy can help you find affiliate programs related to your keyword search.

Jaaxy is available to members who join Wealthy Affiliate but it also has standalone memberships for people who aren’t interested in affiliate marketing training.

6. Affiliate Program

Wealthy Affiliate teaches affiliate marketing so it’s no surprise that they have an affiliate program. The affiliate program is a very popular source of income for many members who choose this as their main or supplementary focus.

The affiliate program feature some very healthy commissions since membership fees range from $49/month to $697/year. Add to the fact that training is also available for this affiliate program as well as a juicy incentive for high performance and you can see why the offer is so attractive.

Here are some of the program details:

  • Commission rate: 50% if you’re a Premium member and 25% if you’re a Starter
  • Leads: Earn 2 credits or $1 when a free member completes their profile setup.
  • Cookie Length: Lifetime
  • Commission duration: Lifetime
  • Performance Incentive: All expense-paid trip to attend the annual Super Affiliate Conference in Las Vegas.
  • Training: Affiliate Bootcamp (7 courses with 70 lessons)

The affiliate program at Wealthy Affiliate isn’t the only way members are earning money as most critics would like to think. Many Wealthy Affiliate members earn money with their websites in different niches promoting Amazon products and other products unrelated to making money online. The affiliate program is totally optional.

However, many members also choose to promote Wealthy Affiliate and earn thousands in monthly income doing so.

The Bootcamp training works very well even though critics are angered by some of the methods taught. You can make a full-time income just promoting the Wealthy Affiliate program alone if you find a good angle and follow the training.

Help and Support at Wealthy Affiliate

Ask a question at Wealthy Affiliate

Learning anything can be tough if you don’t have a support system where you can find answers and get the necessary help you need when you’re stuck.

Wealthy Affiliate has lots of support channels that you can turn to when you get stuck.

  • Community Support – the quickest way to get help is to ask the community. There are a number of ways to do this. Lessons have a discussion area that you can use to ask questions or you can post a question as a discussion inside any classroom.
  • Live Chat – Besides posting discussions, you can also use the live chat to get answers from members who are online. This is another quick way of getting answers.
  • Private Messages – If you have a question that has sensitive info that you do not want to reveal to the entire community, you can also use the private messaging function. Even Kyle, the owner responds to questions and offers 1-on-1 help to members.
  • Questions – You can quickly create questions using the “Ask a Question” link at the top of your homepage in the dashboard. Questions appear in a module on everyone’s dashboard so you can always expect an answer.
  • Site Support – Website-specific help can be dealt with by opening a ticket with Site Support. They usually respond very quickly and I’ve had tickets answered and problems resolved in as little as 3 minutes.

You can also use the search bar inside the membership dashboard to search and discover posts and training that address problems you’re having. Chances are if you have a question, someone else has already had that problem resolved from posting about it.

Starter members get support on a free trial basis. There is no private messaging (to discourage spamming) and after the 7-day free trial, write access is removed so you’ll need to upgrade to get the most out of the platform.

Whatever the issue may be, there are lots of ways to get support within the Wealthy Affiliate membership dashboard.

If you should join Wealthy Affiliate through my link, I make it my business to personally help all my referrals whenever they need it. When you trust my recommendation, I owe you that much at the very least.

Can You Make Money with Wealthy Affiliate?

Make money with Wealthy Affiliate
Photo by Alexander Schimmeck on Unsplash

The purpose of Wealthy Affiliate is to teach people how to make money online mainly through affiliate marketing. It is not an opportunity where you can make money directly.

They do have an affiliate program and also some built in ways for members to earn money but this is not it’s primary purpose.

So can you make money following the training on Wealthy Affiliate?

The courses at Wealthy Affiliate are practical. When you complete these courses, you would have applied all the steps that will help you build a website business that works for you while you sleep.

Providing you did your research as taught, wrote content that’s engaging and able to rank in the search engines and followed best practices for affiliate marketing, you should be able to make money following the Wealthy Affiliate training.

This is how Wealthy Affiliate helps you to make money. There is also nothing wrong with following external training and using the Wealthy Affiliate resources such as web hosting, Site Rubix, and the community for support.

Wealthy Affiliate has an affiliate program which a lot of members use to earn a full time income. This is one way to make money directly with the platform but there are other ways such as making money with Amazon Associates, Clickbank or other affiliate programs.

There are lots of success stories from Wealthy Affiliate members who have used the training and made money. There is a section on the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard where you can find inspiring success stories from people who have followed and applied the training.

Wealthy Affiliate Plans and Pricing

Wealthy Affiliate pricing table

When it comes to affiliate marketing training, Wealthy Affiliate is one of the most affordable and for what is offered, one of the most valuable.

Lots of other training start at $99 and above and don’t include web hosting or integrated community. And the majority of these training do not have a free tier.

Wealthy Affiliate has three plans with a choice of either monthly or annual subscriptions. You can join Wealthy Affiliate for free and then either stay on a free account, upgrade to Premium or access everything with the Premium Plus plan.

Here’s an overview of the plans and what they cost.

  • Starter – $0/month + 7 day free trial of Wealthy Affiliate support
  • Premium – $49/month (bonus of 1 free domain)
  • Premium Plus – $99/month (bonus of 2 free domains)

Here are some details you may want to know about each plan.

Starter (Free)

Wealthy Affiliate lets you get started for free. You can sign up for a free account and get on the Starter plan which is free for as long as you want.

This plan is very limited and it’s purpose is to get you to experience what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer with the hopes that you will upgrade and take advantage of the complete training material.

Wealthy Affiliate starter dashboard

After the one step sign up, you’ll be able to set up your account and start doing the Level 1 training – the 5 introductory lessons from the core training course.

Starter accounts do not have access to private messaging (to protect the community from unnecessary spamming). However, all the other support channels are available on a 7-day free trial basis. After 7 days, you’ll need to upgrade to receive support. Everything else you had access to remains.

To be able to follow the training, Starter members get 1 website and access to Jaaxy Starter.

Another limitation of the Starter account is that there are no live classes. You’ll need to be Premium or Premium Plus in order to get live training or access the live training repository.

Premium ($49/month or $497/year)

Premium is the most popular plan on Wealthy Affiliate because it’s the plan that has always existed. Wealthy Affiliate wasn’t always free to join and the Premium Plus tier is relatively new.

On Premium, all of Wealthy Affiliate’s features are unlocked and you can access everything including all of the core training.

Premium members get 3 websites and access to Jaaxy Lite so that you can follow the training. Upon upgrade from a free account, you will receive a free domain for the first year.

Another benefit of being a Premium member is that you will have access to weekly live classes (52 every year). These classes run every Friday and are great supplementary training to the live classes.

Once you’ve upgraded to Premium, you cannot downgrade and go back to being a free member.

Premium Plus ($99/month or $697/year)

The final plan is the Premium Plus plan which is a bundled package. You get access to all the core training plus full access to the Jaaxy research tool as well as a free additional benefits Premium members wouldn’t have.

For example, Premium Plus members can host up to 10 websites and get 2 free domain names when they subscribe. They also have access to over 200 live training classes a year.

This bundled package has the most value but is not necessary for you to have success at Wealthy Affiliate.

The best time to go annual on any of Wealthy Affiliate’s paid plans is when they have seasonal sales events like on Black Friday. The annual price is usually heavily discounted. If you’re lucky, you might be able to catch a flash sale as these events happen sometimes, once or twice, throughout the year.

Common Wealthy Affiliate Complaints

Common Wealthy Affiliate complaints

Not everyone who becomes a Wealthy Affiliate member sticks around and this could be for any number of reasons.

I’m also not going to pretend as if Wealthy Affiliate is perfect or better than every single training course out there. Some people do complain about the platform. In this section, I’m going to list some of the major complaints people have about Wealthy Affiliate and try my best to address them.

1. Outdated Training

The internet is always evolving and changing. When this happens, what used to work today may not work tomorrow.

One of the biggest complaints about Wealthy Affiliate is that there are outdated content in the core training. This is actually true as I’ve checked and found some training on things like Google+ (a social network network by Google that is now defunct).

While this might be the case, the core idea behind the entire course is a solid, evergreen one that wouldn’t change. Also, I checked back some days after and actually found that the lesson on Google+ was being replaced by more up-to-date training.

Wealthy Affiliate is a social learning platform and it’s very easy to get support when you need it. Outdated content are easily spotted and can be efficiently replaced without misleading students.

Finally, the live training is a great answer to this problem as you will always be taught the most time-relevant lessons on a given topic. For example, if you’re looking for training on artificial intelligence like ChatGPT, Kyle already taught a very timely 4-part series on this topic for Premium Plus members.

The outdated training that people complain about at Wealthy Affiliate is actively being replaced with more up-to-date content.

2. Too Much Focus On Promoting Wealthy Affiliate

There are two main training courses at Wealthy Affiliate. The core training which teaches you about affiliate marketing in any niche and the Affiliate Bootcamp which teaches you how to promote Wealthy Affiliate are your choices.

Many members decide they’re either going to promote Wealthy Affiliate in addition to their main niche website or they’re solely going to promote Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate does have incentives such as the all-expense-paid trip to their annual Super Affiliate conference in Las Vegas. However, choosing to promote Wealthy Affiliate is optional and you don’t have to even do the course if you don’t want to.

There are lots of other more profitable options which is the focus of the core Online Entrepreneur Course training. Wealthy Affiliate just ensures that people promoting the platform have all the training and resources they need as should every other affiliate program.

3. Some Important Marketing Aspects Aren’t Taught

Another complaint is that there aren’t sufficient training on some important aspects of affiliate marketing in the courses.

For example, email marketing isn’t taught in-depth within the core training and neither is paid traffic methods like Google ads or Facebook ads.

This is something I’ve also noticed. The aim of the core training though is to build a website that will get traffic organically through search engine optimization.

Both email marketing and paid traffic are taught at Wealthy Affiliate and if you search the classrooms, you’ll find that there are indeed training in these areas. There are also past live training that go in-depth on these topics and you can always look out for new training on these methods as well.

I will also add that there is nothing wrong with getting external training on areas of interest. This can add to your knowledge of how business works and you can still get value from Wealthy Affiliate through using the community, resources like hosting and attending the weekly live training.

Wealthy Affiliate Pros and Cons

There are both good and not-so-good aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. From my experience, it is mostly good but as pointed out in the section above, some users have had complaints.

I have also made some observations for myself and there are features that I prefer not to use. There is still a whole lot of value in the training, resources, community, and support for the subscription price.

Here’s a look at some of the pros and cons of Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate Pros

  • Can join for free
  • Free-forever account
  • Beginner to advanced training
  • All-in-one platform (save money)
  • Affordable pricing
  • Forever pricing
  • Live training with no selling
  • Supportive, very active community
  • Built-in ways to make money
  • Multiple support channels

Wealthy Affiliate Cons

  • Some out-dated training
  • Site Content isn’t necessary

Some of the best things about Wealthy Affiliate are that it’s free to join and you can be a part of the learning platform for a long time if you choose to remain a free member. If you decide to subscribe, you’ll get forever pricing which means, you’ll always pay the subscription price you paid at signup even if the prices at Wealthy Affiliate go up.

Wealthy Affiliate was designed to help affiliates and with the live training webinars, they’re packed with content and do not sell anything at the end like other programs.

The live classes cover lots of different topics that you can apply to your online business. Some of the content in the core training is indeed outdated but with Wealthy Affiliate being a community-first learning platform, this should not affect members much as the courses are interactive. This means you can quickly get the information you need to complete the course and apply more relevant tactics.

Wealthy Affiliate Alternatives

Some popular Wealthy Affiliate alternatives may offer you a better experience in terms of training especially if you’re way past the beginner level.

Many of these courses though are very expensive and you may still have to purchase hosting and other tools externally making your venture a costly one. If you’re a beginner, Wealthy Affiliate can show you how to get started with building a profitable affiliate marketing business.

Here are some of the best affiliate marketing courses available and how they may compare to Wealthy Affiliate.

1. The Affiliate Lab

The Affiliate Lab

The Affiliate Lab was launched in 2017 by Matt Diggity, an SEO professional. This affiliate marketing course teaches you how to build, rank, monetize and flip affiliate websites.

The program features in-depth training that is regularly updated and has an active community. In addition, you also get templates, tools, checklists and standard operating procedures, the same used by Diggity to run his own websites.

Matt is very active in his exclusive members-only Facebook group and answers questions about SEO and related topics himself.

The course costs $997 or two payments of $597 and there are no refunds. There is also a focus on getting content outsourced which means paying even more.

If you have the money, The Affiliate Lab is a solid investment which can help you make money through SEO and affiliate marketing.

Wealthy Affiliate is a lot more affordable at $49/month, you can join for free and get started on learning to build an affiliate business online.

2. The Authority Site System 3.0

The Authority Site System

The Authority Site System 3.0 is an updated affiliate marketing course that teaches you how to build an authority site from scratch and monetize it with affiliate offers so that you can eventually earn passive income.

The course features Gael and Mark building a profitable website as you watch along over the course of 192 video lessons.

This course is highly recommended by lots of people who have went through the training although they warn that beginners may feel overwhelmed.

There is also a private Facebook community where you can ask questions and receive support.

The cost of The Authority Site System 3.0 is $997 or you can make two payments of $599. This is significantly higher than the price of Wealthy Affiliate ($49/month), which you can join for free and get started.

3. Blog Growth Engine

Adam Enfroy is one of my favorite YouTubers and I love his content and approach to affiliate marketing.

His course, Blog Growth Engine is a solid affiliate marketing training course that teaches you how to build a personal brand through blogging, and make money monetizing with affiliate offers. He incorporates new methods like the use of AI and regularly updates content.

Blog Growth Engine is a lot more expensive than the other two alternatives mentioned here with a $3600 price point. There are payment plans and occasionally, the course goes on sale where you can get it for less.

Wealthy Affiliate gets you started for free and you can pay $49/month to access premium training and resources. Blog Growth Engine is a great alternative if you have the money.
